With the former Member of the German Bundestag Karsten Möring, SMC strengthens its energy, climate and environmental policy expertise. Karsten was a member of the German Bundestag from 2013-2021 and, as a member of the Committee for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety, was an exceptionally competent, independent voice and important MP. Karsten has been particularly active in the following areas: Hydrogen and Renewable Energy, Fracking, Water Quality and Wastewater Management, Soil Protection, Circular Economy, Nuclear Energy, Nuclear Interim and Final Storage Issues, Smart City, Transport Emissions and Synthetic Fuels.
Before joining the Bundestag, Karsten was head of a Cologne grammar school for 21 years and a directly elected member of the Cologne City Council for 14 years. Here, too, he was active in the Transport Committee, responsible among other things for local public transport and local rail transport.
Today, Karsten Möring is Chairman of the Board of the Environment and Development Foundation in North Rhine-Westphalia and Chairman of the German-Finnish Society in Cologne. With him, Strategic Minds Company is also expanding its presence and network in North Rhine-Westphalia.
