New management consultancy group for the new era

Launch of the Berlin Advisors Group – four consultancies establish joint umbrella – offices in Berlin, Frankfurt and Brussels

High energy costs are changing corporate strategy, supply chains need to be realigned according to geopolitical risks, employees and investors are demanding a social positioning, the ESG agenda is changing the corporate story and political demands are only heard when public reputation is high.

To effectively support boards, management and supervisory boards in dealing with this new complexity, the four consultancies Lutz Meyer & Company, Strategic Minds Company, Berlin Global Advisors and Corporate Transformation Advisors have developed the “Berlin Advisors Group” (BAG) as a new offering that for the first time combines expertise from all areas under one roof: Corporate Development and Restructuring, Politics and Diplomacy, Industrial and Energy Management as well as Communications and Issues Management.

“These new times need a new model of management consultancy. Never before has corporate value depended so much on the political environment, global upheavals and society’s expectations as it does today. The new situation needs a new kind of consultancy that thinks and works across the board,” explain the four founding partners at the launch of Berlin Advisors Group.

The founding companies are represented by Dr. Joachim Lang, Managing Partner of the industrial consultancy Strategic Minds Company, previously Chief Executive of the BDI, Head of the Group Representative Office of E.ON SE and European Coordinator in the Federal Chancellery; Ana-Cristina Grohnert, owner of the consultancy Corporate Transformation Advisors, Chair of the DAX network “Charta der Vielfalt” (Diversity Charter) and former Member of the Board of Allianz as well as Partner at EY; Dr. Lutz Meyer, owner of the communications consultancy Lutz Meyer & Company, one of the best-known PR and advertising minds in Germany and a multi-award-winning creator of political campaigns; and Jan F. Kallmorgen, founding partner of Berlin Global Advisors, the leading consultancy for geopolitics and international government relations in Germany.

The services offered by the Berlin Advisors Group include:

  • Advice on geopolitical and geo-economic risks for companies and investors
  • Communication and campaigns for issues, interests and minds
  • Energy policy advice for industry and small and medium-sized enterprises
  • Market-entry support for German companies abroad and foreign companies in Germany
  • Support for ESG transformation and reporting
  • Improving employer attractiveness and corporate culture
  • Political representation of interests at home, in Brussels and internationally

The Berlin Advisors Group’s special approach is an integrated 360-degree view of the company and the tasks of its management. To this end, the Group offers the concentrated experience of industry, restructuring, diplomacy, communications, politics and the capital market. All partners draw on the expertise of the associated consultancies and form overarching teams.

At the start, Berlin Advisors Group already has more than 50 employees at its offices in Berlin, Frankfurt and Brussels.

Dr Friedbert Pflüger, who founded the company (then: Pflüger International) in 2009, sees the formation of BAG as a great opportunity: “I am delighted that we are working together with the BAG partners and all employees to decisively develop the range of services for our customers.”
